Looking for a unique and exciting reading group? Then join one of ours! Each club requires “no long term commitment” and meets monthly at the bookshop, 1776 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. The only requirement is that each participant must purchase the book club selections from Read Books.

Classic titles by and about women have stood the test of time. They provide a context for history and culture, strengthen our personal ethics and lead us to reflect on our own personal experiences. We will read classic and contemporary titles that encourage us to be bold and learn from the women who came before us and those we stand beside today.

Inspired by RB Community members and our friends at the podcast, Strong Sense of Place , we added a new monthly book club! It's dedicated to a fun and immersive global reading experience!
On the 3rd Thursday of each month we will meet at Corduroy Cafe to discuss a fiction title that takes us somewhere new!
Flirty Fiction Romance Book CLub
This group will be reading a variety of fiction romance reads from contemporary to classic, steamy to chaste. Your facilitator, Mel is an avid romance reader and can’t wait to hear your take on all the tropes. Her favorites are 'friends to lovers' and 'he falls first' and she's excited to learn yours. We think you are going to love this new community at Read Books.
For participation in this book club each title must be purchased from Read Books bookshop, through our Online Bookshop or on audio through our Libro.Fm platform.Monthly meetings will occur at Corduroy Cafe on the last Thursday evening of the month starting February 2025.
